Difference in comp between equity and non-equity partner at a mid-size PA firm?

There's a difference. It depends a bit on the nature of the nonequity role and if its considered temporary (2-5yrs) or could be a permanent position. Longer term nonequity partners normally would be compensated more in line with the value they bring to the firm, with some upside in a bonus plan if the individual exceeds targets. Some firms cap total comp for nonequity at a certain level, which is almost always lower than the average equity partner comp.

Signed an offer with a sweet $20k signing bonus on Monday. Since then...

Dog figured out how to defeat the fence (the $6,500 fence I put up in October). Has gone across the street to visit his doggie friends (seriously, that's what he's doing). Pulled the trigger on an invisible fence, for $1,400.
Microwave bit it last night; $325 to replace.
Dishwasher still runs but doesn't wash dishes; $700 to $1,000 if I install myself.
Fridge about to bite it. Another $1.5k to $2k.

...bye bye bonus

Hi Fishes,

Got an interview opportunity from an Europe based consulting firm. Cleared the first round and waiting for final round. It's a contract opportunity with compensation of 300 euros per day. I have couple of queries -
1. Is it wise to leave the permanent job (22 LPA) and accept this contract opportunity (6 months with extension possibility) ? Pros & Cons?
2. Does anyone have similar experience? How do they make the payment to Indian Bank account?

Thanks!

Have a 1:1 each month with an MD who’s pretty high up in the company & makes a lot of decisions around my comp/promos. He’s super stressed about folks leaving the company and basically told me - come to me if you’re thinking of leaving for more $ & we will try to work something out.
I was planning to start looking for something new over the summer, but now I’m really stressed about burning bridges...
Any advice? (Cont’d)

Raise chat! I am approaching 1 year with my company and am unsure of how to approach my CEO when asking for a raise. When I first came on, I was given a 5% raise after 3 months. I was promoted at 5 months but just in title, and a lot of responsibility. I believe I am long overdue for a salary increase and the overall cost of living is insane. I would like to ask for something closer to 15% but I’m not sure if that’s appropriate. Any advise?

But I still can’t help but think that for a person in my position, given the opportunities that I was given, I am just a complete failure and nowhere near what I could be.
