Network18 offered Remote position with 30.46 LPA fixed, 1.60 Lakh variable and 2 Lakh joining bonus with 2 years of retaintaion clause.

Alvarez & Marsal How does comp work at Alvarez & Marsal? I know bonus is based on utilization / collections, but how does that really work when you're executing against a SOW with a certain amount of hours budgeted. If I'm only budgeted at 70%, how do you increase your utilization to increase your bonus.

I don't mean to complain. I work in industry for 5 years with an active CPA, now looking for public accounting jobs. I know industry exp doesn't count much in firms. I applied for audit associate senior at Grant Thornton LLP (US) and recruiting manager gave me a chance to interview, but the call only lasts for 5 minutes. 1st question he asked is do you have auditing experience in public accounting firm? I honestly said No. He wrapped up the call and asked if I know anyone with audit experience to refer?????
I have been selected in PWC AC DDV -IT (Delivering Deal value) team as an Associate 2. I am an MBA from Tier-1 college with 3 yrs of post MBA experience (Not in DDV). Is Associate 2 level right for me as I checked that people from top IIMs directly join as Associate 2 just out of college ? Will I fall back in my career because of lower position ?

There's a difference. It depends a bit on the nature of the nonequity role and if its considered temporary (2-5yrs) or could be a permanent position. Longer term nonequity partners normally would be compensated more in line with the value they bring to the firm, with some upside in a bonus plan if the individual exceeds targets. Some firms cap total comp for nonequity at a certain level, which is almost always lower than the average equity partner comp.
