I use it frequently to test hypotheses or fragmented thoughts - I find LLMs to be the most helpful when you already have a hunch and then use it to probe, poke holes, make counter points, etc.
I've only seen my directors use and recommend it as a glorified thesaurus. Genuinely such a joke.
Do you think your department could benefit from it beyond using it a “thesaurus”?
My manager, a GSD, has no clue how to use it, so they ask me to implement it in my work so they can report to senior leadership that “we” are implementing it
So, “we” use it sift through massive excel docs and 200+ slide decks for specific information. Basically use it as admin/intern for info pulls that “we” already know we’re looking for
Maybe to find specific research and give me an idea of how to format something in a deck, but I wouldn’t trust it to turn around a full report. Especially a competitive analysis. Clients worth their salt still want to see nuance so their brand can do something different. AI can’t bake in nuance. Not yet at least.
Short answer yes. AI can mean so many different things in the context of our jobs though. I probably use 5 different tools regularly (Perplexity, GPT, Whisk, Springboards off the top of my head) but none of them correspond to my level - a strategist at any level should be using them - or at least a bundle of tools that suits their work
myself and my team use it on the daily for a variety of things. Been a game changer for us. waiting for other groups to catch up so we can try new things.

With AI - I don’t chase trends, I build ecosystems.
Just play with it. Try it for different things. See for yourself. It’s there to be pushed and experimented with.
Everytime I see some one ask what to use it for… the answer is ‘whatever the **** you want’
I have, I’m trying to see if there’s a demand for it. I automated a few workflows, but was curious if that could become a service/product I can offer.
