Companies especially startups expect you to not keep interviewing when you accept a job offer. “It can deteroriate your brand.”

But companies would replace you in a heartbeat for almost any reason. Including interviewing a candidate who will replace you (you will be fired as soon as they find a person).

So companies can fuck with the little guys but we can’t look for our best interest?

Am I the only person who has been super disgusted to Fishbowl’s response to the Meta layoffs? I’ve been laid off twice in my career but I’m not mad at 11000 people who no longer have jobs just cause they got decent severance while I got a week on my way out. I’ve been on the bench with J1 for about 3 months. I was worried that because I couldn’t find another project, I would get laid off so I found J2, which pays more, is very meeting heavy, but I really like.
