I’ve actually enjoyed working with European bankers vs the US. I’m based in the US, I’ve considered relocating to the Europe as I’ve felt my interactions with European bankers have been more humane. Racial discrimination is everywhere but I wouldn’t let that deter you from exploring a new country. I’m sure the international exposure will be an added advantage in the long term.
The UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Nordic region, Eastern Europe, Poland, Greece and I also cover emerging markets.
Racial hurdles and discrimination is something that shouldn't exist in a time like ours, but sadly we deal with it every.
I don't think there's a way to run from it, it's everywhere, there's no safe place anymore. Don't let the fear stops you. Go anywhere you want until you find a place that you feel safe, or worth living there.
I think "a place that you feel safe" makes the most sense to me!
I think it would be a better overall experience in Europe than in the US. Americans think they own the world whereas Europeans are vastly more cultured than their counterparts here. It's sad but I think this is a fair description

Abroad has been on my mind heavy because of all the madness that happens here in the U.S. but I was more so wondering how hard is it to get a offer? What’s the interview process like and if I would have to be a resident? People I know that have moved over there didn’t get a job recently they went back to school over there.

I think about that and then also language barriers and just trying to learn my way around and such. It gives me massive anxiety to think about. However, it would be really cool.
Some European countries are much more accepting than the States. I wouldn't give up on it if it's a dream of yours.
I think Europe would be a safer bet when compared to the US in terms of racial discrimination. Plus, a new environment could do you good despite your initial fear when you first move.
Why not? It's a lot better than the US. Well, it exists almost everywhere but if I have to choose between UK and US, I'll work in the UK for sure.
