Do you feel that smaller companies (less than 1000 employees) are better than bigger corporations?

In some ways and not others. They are better at listening to their employees' concerns, but bigger corporations are more organized and system and processes in play

It really depends. I see benefits to both. Personally, I prefer small companies because I think they treat their staff better. You are not just a number but are a valued member of the team.

So, I’ve been part of mergers and also been part of both small and large size companies. I do like the “family” culture that smaller companies have.

I have only had bad experiences working with smaller companies. They don't know how to talk to employees and the directors are rude

like

Sorry to hear about that. At least you have good experience now and can use that to leverage for the same or higher level at another company.

I don't know, I feel like that's a pretty broad statement. They each have their pros and cons, and those also change on an individual basis depending on where you're at in your career.

Yes, sorry I meant the culture. I do agree that there are pros and cons from both ends.

In what way? I like what LC1 said. They have their pros and cons, but it really depends what you're looking about and wondering about specifically.

Primarily culture. I feel as though as companies get bigger/broader they are less out of touch with their employees.

I think that there are pros and cons to any company you end up working for. What size company are you in right now?

My company size is over 40,000.

I prefer working for smaller companies. I like the agility and adaptability and I appreciate the opportunity to work closely with my colleagues and customers. I also understand the appeal of working for bigger corporations tho. They offer more resources and opportunities and they can be more stable.

Hello, looking for a bit of advice. I have applied to about 30 positions in the last two weeks and have not gotten any interviews. I have 7 years of military supply chain experience, plus a year and a half outside of the military. It’s very discouraging to continuously receive these rejection emails. With 9 years of supply chain experience, I am not sure why I would not be able to at least get an interview for entry level roles that require no experience. Not just this one pictured but others as well. I’ve applied to maybe 60 positions since May, both mid level and “entry” and no interviews. I’ve had my resume professionally re-written twice. Not sure where the disconnect is. Anyone else going through this same thing?
