Do you have any “no-meeting” days enforced at where you work? We try to do that on Friday’s where I am and when it actually happens I feel like I can actually fly through some work but I also feel like things always end up coming up that result in a meeting. I’ve been told that cold applying and making no contacts is usually not going to lead to anything, and that’s been true in my experience. But should I reach out to someone first? Should i apply and then email someone? In HR? Or someone who’d be directly supervising me? Or someone at my level? And what should i say? Thanks!
