Advice on taking and passing the SPHR exam?
My thoughts on the current market.

What's the salary range for a director at the Gilead Sciences foundation? There is a position perfect for me, but I don't want to throw my hat in the ring if starting salary isn't $180-190k. Also, any thoughts on the stability of their philanthropic commitment? There's talk of a recession; I don't want to go private to be cute a few months later.

So I guess living here for decades since I was a kid doesn’t count just because I was born elsewhere huh
Lol this kind of Boston gatekeeping is the reason nobody wants to move to Boston
This happens in any city.
I once had someone who grew up in Southie tell me you need to live in Boston for 10+ years and have a child in Boston. So I’ve been using his definition. My son was born last year, so now I can officially say I’m from Boston. 😆
I mean. I’ve lived here 15 years, own a home in the city, etc. and if I’m traveling and someone casually asks where I’m from, I’ll say Boston. Because that’s answering their question. But am I *from* Boston, when it gets down to it? No, not exactly. That implies more, where were you born/grew up. And that’s what I ask when I want to know that: “where did you grow up?”
