I'm a marketer and I'm having a hard time getting my clients to listen to me.

I have been in marketing for 10 years now. I've worked with hundreds of clients and have been able to increase their sales by over $1 million each year.

But every time I go into a meeting with a new client, they ignore everything I say. They just want to talk about their product. They don't seem interested in learning how to market it better.

Has anyone ever posted a general marketing position? We have an open position on our marketing team but we are unsure what type of position to offer. My company contracts a web developer, we have a set amount of hours for the quarter and pay over if more work is needed.
He never gets anything done. Doesn’t answer emails half the time. The one thing he’s done was take out a blurb that threatened our eligibility for patent renewal.
