Having access to that massive built-in audience has certainly helped. I also think Elon's gross mishandling of Twitter has played a major role. People loved what that platform used to be and were yearning for a replacement. I use it daily, and while it's not as good as peak Twitter was, it's still far superior to what X currently has to offer.

My experience with Threads is that I only visit it when I click on the clickbait posts they put on Instagram. They are very good at that, and I have to imagine a lot of their visitors come in that way. It's still not as useful as Twitter used to be, you can't make lists and they're determined to make it difficult to read just the posters you choose to follow. It's like they could make it good but they choose not to.

I think their success mainly has to do with how Threads put more of its focus on its mobile app from day one. I believe they launched the mobile app even before the web app.

When faced with a new social media app, finding it hard to answer the question, what does it have that I’m not getting from the multiple other accounts I have and don’t pay much attention to? Was just seriously considering deleting some.

Okay so, its been a while since I've been seeing this in Linkedin:

I understand that it's a way of "SEO" in LinkedIn but it just discourages us freshies.

Actually not sure if this post belongs in this bowl but.. it is what it is?

Taking my shot in tech sales. Consulting was great experience but enjoyed the relationship and BD aspect more and didn’t see myself climbing to partner. Starting in a junior BD Rep role to learn prospecting and earn quota history. Took a big paycut for the potential future earnings as an Account Exec. Did I dun goof? Probably. But I’ll regret it forever if I didn’t take my chance now when I’m still single and young-ish.

I just got an offer from a company that I have mixed feelings about. Team seems great but Glassdoor reviews, not so much. I’m currently interviewing with a couple of other companies that are amazing and would be my too choices. However, I’m very early in the process so it will probably take a month or so to get to the offer stage with them. I don’t want to fall between two chairs for not taking this offer and then not getting any from other companies. What should I do? Best strategy?

Hi everyone. I'm in the process of building a SaaS startup. Someone with SaaS experience has advice on marketing the product for B2B?

What should I pay a part time PMM at a Series A funded, Y Combinator-backed Fintech SaaS startup working 20 hours a week whose job it is to assist the CMO (me) with setting up and managing a product marketing function? This person will be the 7th hire, the second marketer, and will grow into a full time role (if they want it) as we scale. I myself just completed PMA's Product Marketing Core Cert, but I can't do it all myself and run Demand Gen and Mar Ops. Also HM experience should I require?

I'm two thirds through the PMA Core Certification, and the info is great but the tests are a joke. They need to contract with an educator that specializes in testing and assessment to come in and develop exams that actually measure if you know the material. The bad test design devalues the certification. Not to zero, but I definitely will not be proud to have earned it. It just means I had $1300 and sat through 15 hours of video lectures.

Should I take this role?
Pros: 50k bump, company is full remote, no time tracking software, unlimited PTO, 10k in quarterly bonuses, vertical move in responsibility and title, will set me up for future roles in different companies with the title I am looking for (so strategic move)

Cons: Its a startup, the solution they offer is adjacent to my desired industry, its a very small team so I wouldn’t grow my network as much, tech stipend for new laptop (but they don’t provide a work one)

Hi everyone! In your experience, what is the one tool / must-have / methodology any of your companies use to bring about a cohesive and comprehensive go-to-market strategy in the launch of new products and services? As a company scales, coordinating cross-functionally and across time zones is becoming increasingly challenging so we have identified that we need frameworks or tools to help us go-to-market in a less clumsy, more coordinated fashion. Would love to get your ideas on this.
