Does anybody have any insight or connections to H-E-B? I am interested in learning more about the company and possibly pursuing a position.

Great company. What role?

like

I don't personally know anyone who works at H-E-B, but maybe you could reach out to them from LinkedIn? I usually find my networking opportunities there.

I haven't heard anyone say anything bad about working there. Seems like a great company to work for, a good work environment

Depending on what department/level you're in the pay can fluctuate. In some roles, they pay well in others not so much

Ehh I thought about working there as well. I checked the Glassdoor reviews a while ago and they had mixed reviews. You can check there again to see if anything's changed

I have heard good things about them because of my sister-in-law. She mentioned it better compared to its direct competitor.

Sadly, I do not have any connections. But based on what I've heard, it seems like a great company.

Hi there! Are you planning to apply there, OP? What role are you applying for?

I've heard mixed reviews and feedback, to be honest. But your entire experience will depend on your department and team. What do you want to know in particular?

Is RPA a bubble and will soon fade away? How much valuable is it as a skill set?

My joining date is coming closer, however education background checks are still processing ( international degrees) . My onboarding coordinator told me that I can still join even if education check is still in progress, provided there wont be any flags. I don’t see any issue with my degrees and have done same with my past companies.
Anyone experienced this ? Any problem joining while check is processing ?

Monday Morning rumination: unsolicited advise is criticism.

Much to reflect on with this topic. Last week I was told in a 1:1 with a new contact that I was “too direct”. After some time chewing on the conversation I was struggling to place the emotions I was feeling. Turns out I was feeling guilty and shame for being me, for taking up space. Lesson of the week: unsolicited advice is a criticism of you, a micro aggression of who you are, and being “too much”. What would you do??

Tech company lay offs….are they soon to be inevitable?!

There is lots of companies really taking a hit in the tech space. Is this something that people are nervous about? Many seem to still be having a hiring push but with the button falling (IMO this is still just start we have a long way to go to bottom out) will that halt and layoffs ensue? And if so, which depts do you think will get hit the hardest?

Anyone have insight to what the plan is at UpStart for example?
