Staff Acct- you do NOT have to do it forever. That’s not a thing- I have been dermaplaning patients for 20 years as an esthetician. The problem with doing your own is you cannot see your own ear. I struggle to do my own. But I have a co-worker who claims she has no problem doing her own. Good luck I hope this is helpful.
I shave my face with the amazons men’s razor and face wash and my skin looks great. It never breaks me out.
I’m confused. Why would you have to do it forever?
I just bought a disposable dermaplane razor from Target. I didn’t use any other products. Visually it didn’t do much, but helped create a smooth surface to help with makeup application for special events.
I feel like I have more peach fuzz than the average person so I think it would be fairly noticeable.
I do it every now and then and love it, no regrets and I definitely don’t need to do it forever if I wanted to stop tomorrow I could (I suppose I didn’t have a TON of peach fuzz to start.. just a normal amount, I guess) I’ve tried a few razors, and the tweezerman version is by far the best. I use these little razors to get rid of unwanted peach fuzz. It grows back the same as before. Just do it on a clean face (washed only no products) and only in areas with no breakouts. I very lightly apply pressure and at a little angle go in downward motion and remove a little bit of fuzz at a time. I wipe the blade off on a tissue between strokes. I wash my face with CeraVe gentle cleanser when I’m done then do my gentlest moisturizer, no actives after removing fuzz. My face peach fuzz takes forever to come back. My lip peach fuzz I have to touch up every other week so it’s not too big a hassle.

It's not bad at all. I can say my mother scared me into thinking anything I shaved was going to grow back 100 times worse, and I still feel afraid of that. But, honestly, it's quick, easy, and it doesn't grow back any worse than when you started. Personally, I love the Tinkle razors.
I would personally look into electrolysis - that's what I did for my facial hair (I had a bit of a stache going) it's painful but permanent. and I don't need to do anything now
No regrets here! Taking out the vellus hairs also makes your makeup look immaculate. Definitely not something you need to do every day, but boy, if someone here has a big occasion they want to look amazing for, it really helps with smoothing down skin.
I love dermaplaning on my own! I promise it doesn't grow back prickly. Actually, it looks just the same as before. My foundation looks so good after shaving my face.
I apply an aloe Vera gel right before dermaplaning since it makes gliding so much easier. I have had excellent outcomes with it.
If you're dermaplaning, you absolutely need something to help the blade glide through your skin, such an oil or aloe vera gel, or else you'll end up with a stinging sensation on your face.
According to my experience, applying oil to the skin prior to and during dermaplaning results in a ️ smoother blade glide and less skin irritation. Anyone with dry skin should almost always use a dermaplaning oil. I enjoy using rose hip oil.
Take it from me as someone who's indecisive. I spent weeks thinking about shaving my peach fuzz. And when I finally did, I loved it! I do it once or twice a month.
I do! You should definitely try it. My skin never looked this clean and bright. I just avoid shaving when I'm breaking out.
It doesn't change anything at all. I mean, aside from brightening up your skin and making it look cleaner. If you're scared of hair growing back thicker, it doesn't because it's all a myth.
The only thing you should worry about shaving your peach fuzz is safety and hygiene. Make sure you use specific tools for the job. Try the Revlon Face Defuzzers Hair Removal Tool.
There's nothing you should worry about, OP. Just make sure you don't shave dry. Use aloe or any moisturizer available. It only made me feel better in my skin.
