How do you like your jobs? Looking to transfer from public accounting. So far seems like a mix of people who love it and people who say it’s too boring

I love my job. It’s going to vary significantly depending on the department you join. I have clients who I would never ever work for and others I’d love to work for. Some clients focus on SOX and others on more operational or strategic projects. Some clients are valued by the company and others are not.

You need to find the right fit for you.

My total YoE is 14 years. I know pretty long stay in TCS. I am happy with the work though I am not a project lead or in some manager position. Got onsite opportunity almost 7 years in support project. But some time seeing my x-teammates who have changed many companies and now in better position, feeling like I would have moved out instead of sticking to 1 company. Now decided I have to come out from this comfort zone. I know it is possible but worried a bit with my exp. I need you guys advice..Plz

How long do you spend on monthly reporting for your clients?
My 3-person team spends about 15+ hours a month each writing monthly reports for our clients (99 small retainer clients). We’ve received feedback that they’re too complicated and the clients just want to know - are we on the right track, what action items are there, and what any next steps are in their strategy.

Currently I work for a small company that does the construction of small cell utility poles and roof top sites for the major cell carriers like VZW, T-mobile, AT&T and so on. I am a project coordinator but I do everything under the sun. Created project tracker. Submitti bids, sourcing material, negotiating price on materials, handling post construction inspections, scheduling sub contractors, notifying stakeholders, coordinating with construction managers - property owners - building management.

I think I bombed my final round today. Was taken a bit aback with a pure focus on numbers so took a bit of time solving it and in the end interviewer skipped one part of a chart cos she had to move on to other charts. The qualitative case part went well I think. Disappointed in myself!

Hello All,
I am between cars and need to use a rental to get to work. Any recommendations on cheap car rental services?

Currently using Priceline for the deals they offer but it still comes out to be extremely expensive. Need it for the next 3-4 weeks.

Is there any resources someone can point me to about the potential legal issues and more information from an HR perspective about contingent employees (temps, contract workers, part-time workers) versus normal FTE’s?

I’m working on a project for an HR class and finding good sources with real evidence about this from SHRM and news publications has been rough. Thanks!
