Hello people, I am an old school Linux Administrator with 14 years of experience. I have understanding of DevOps methodologies and I want to make a move in that direction. I also have understanding of cloud and worked on AWS from 2011 till 2015. Can someone help with a referral for a job in DevOps? I am currently based in Gurgaon but I would be more than happy to relocate. Thanks
How many years of experience do you feel like I would need before my bosses move me into a manager role? For some background: my company does all their media and marketing in house. When I was originally hired I was hired as the media traffic coordinator and our media manager just handled OOH. Well our media manager left the beginning of July and now I handle all of the media traffic plus OOH plus coordinate with our production team for needed assets. (Cont in comments)
What interview questions have you gotten for in house interviews that were more behavioral in nature? About to interview for an in house role and have only worked in law firms and trying to prepare for more fit-based questions that could be asked by a corporate employer. Thanks!
I have no criminal record and yet am stressing about my background check taking more than a few days. Anyone else triggered by their anxiety in the hiring process? Gonna take a walk to shake this feeling.
Any thoughts on a $45K offer for an AE role in Chicago without any health benefits? Offer is $10K below the lowest number I specified when asked for a salary range. Kind of bummed. Honest opinions plz
Hello, has anyone been through the aws virtual interview for a senior security consultant role? Would appreciate tips. Was sent a homework which is based on the architecture framework
I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.
What’s the most dramatic jump in salary you’ve managed? At what position did you go from feeling underpaid to over/appropriately paid?
I'm a Sr at EY in AI/ML consulting. I like what I do but I'm testing the market. At what other companies should I look for similar positions? Already applied to Deloitte, ACN, PWC, need a KPMG referral, BAH, and IBM (which, meh). Other recommendations?
For those that have left the Big 4 as a Senior Manager (Tax) and went in-house, do you regret it? Anything you wish you knew or you would share with someone that’s in a similar position? I love the work but the volume/lack of work-life balance is not something I’m okay with right now. I recently had a kid and want to spend time on weekend and nights without feeling guilty or a pay cut.
Anyone at Bain who can provide referral or connect? Super interested in corporate strategy and finance. Worked in a boutique IB before Bain & Company
The hiring manager called to congratulate and said should be getting the offer in the email without disclosing any details. How to negotiate in this case?

Hey, I have applied to a job at EY for Risk assurance. My academics are pretty good and I'm pursuing ACCA with BCom, with a year of internship experience as well. I have tried to apply but I think a referral would really help. Please dm me for referrals. Would be happy to speak on linkedin as well and send my job ID as well.
Does the level of a person referring you at MBB have any weight in the recruitment process?
Has anyone been part of an acquisition? How are things like compensation structure and benefits handled? Do they normally do some sort of grandfather process?
Can anyone talk me though what the medical is like? I know I got all my vaccines as a kid but they are back in my home country, do you know what proof is required?
Which is the best airline program to align with? I’m going to start traveling again post pandemic and debating on which airline to go all in on (or should I divide and conquer?). I’m assuming 1 of the big 3 (AA, Delta, United) is the answer? What I have: AA Platinum thanks to BCG perk but can get United or Delta to match. Also have Southwest companion pass but that’s expiring this year. Currently live in Chicago if that matters.
Should I take a 15% pay cut and leave Accenture for industry? Or wait it out to find a better paying opportunity? Worried about chargeability and layoffs, hate the process of getting staffed. Wondering if it's worth it though for such a big drop.
You have to raise a dinosaur and make sure nobody else finds out you have one. At the end of its lifespan, you get rewarded based on how much the dinosaur weighed. What dinosaur do you pick and how
Anyone can share insights on what is the average salary raise and bonus at Grant Thornton and Moody's investors service? Also, what should be the salary expectation range for a 6+ YOE, MBA, CFA ,FRM for New York Location in the financial services industry?
My last day with Deloitte was a week ago - I signed several authorization forms allowing them to withhold from my final paycheck the 1/2 of my sign-on bonus I owe back for leaving in 1.5 years, sans some FICA taxes. Today, I received a barely coherent email saying, “due to some glitch, the loan amount wasn’t adjusted from pay-stub”... and asking me to wire transfer the amount to them. It’s to the point that if it wasn’t on the same thread as the original email, I would assume it’s a scam. Wtf?
How well does Havas Health & You NYC work with other offices? And overall is Havas Health & You a good place to work from a creative standpoint?
Folks who are on a H1/L1 visa, how do you handle the income out of a rental property? Do you hire a property manager? How much would they charge approximately and is it worth it?

I had a 1st round interview last week and I didn’t love the sound of the job. It’s in higher ed. It would also be a 20k pay cut (105 -> 85). They want to do a final round with me this week. During the interview, the director who would be my manager said they are understaffed and very busy. She also said someone in this role needs to love working. I don’t necessarily want to transition to another busy place for a pay cut. The only perk I see is the time off university staff get and tuition...comt
I’ve been miserable at my position for a while. I’ve thought about moving out of PA to either private or another industry but it seems it’s never the right time nor can I settle on what should be my next move. Currently 10 weeks pregnant with my second and at a loss at what to do. Have any moms been in a similar dilemma? Has anyone changed jobs or interviewed while pregnant?
What's travel within CMAAS like? Are most teams out traveling or still WFH? What was it like pre-COVID?
