I have an assistant manager that was placed in an ANOM (assistant nurse manager) position “because they’re an RN.” After moving into my position, I find out they make 40% more than me. This was a very hard pill to swallow and makes me rethink my whole career if this is the pathway healthcare administration is starting to go down.
Yes, which can be both a detriment and a benefit. Most clinical employees don’t wish to do the administrative work in my experience. Yes and also favortism
I have noticed that they want a clinical degree for these positions. It is very frustrating!
Good to know! I’m a nurse and I’m working on my BHA and NHA. I’ll be finish NHA in a few months. Working on finding a preceptor.
