I recently got asked in an interview “how do you keep on top of employment law, your award and fair work regulations?” Truth is I’m subscribed to mailing lists but that’s about it… I sometimes feel dumb because I forget what’s in the fair work act, I need to check it every time someone is going on parental leave… then I forget the min requirements again.

Been living in a luxury building for about a year and start noticing that I have a mild cough when I’m in the building. First year teacher who has gotten PTSD from one student. 2 concussions, multiple scratches, bruises etc. I can’t help but feel burnt out and it’s not even my second semester...

I had a breakdown on Saturday at my second job (youth group advisor). My parents had to come pick me up, at age 35. I couldn't deal with people being nice to me -- my job is just so frustrating.

Tomorrow they are requiring masks again and I was almost in tears when I found out. We have been mask free (recommended) since June and I feel like we are being muzzled again. I am vaccinated, frustrated, and have been off of antidepressants since March. I don’t even want to go into work tomorrow. Anything is better than being virtual and I am trying to look at the bright side, but moving backward still burns. We have parent-teacher conferences coming up and I am hoping that it’s temporary.

My district is looking into Social Emotional Learning curriculum. What is the name of the curriculum your district uses? What are the pros and cons of what you have implemented?
