After HR interview, I agreed on 10L fixed pay for a Sr Analyst role. But they increased upto 11.8 in offerletter. With variable pay, it amounts to 136% hike. Does this happen usually??? YOE: 3.9

I hold an offer of 18LPA from KPMG with joining date of 7th September. (Wfh)
I applied at Workday on 15th May and went through 7 technical rounds of interview and received a verbal offer letter of 21LPA (hybrid)
Now apparently their technical panel "forgot" about the interview and wants to have a discussion again as 8th technical interview. HR says their joining date will be 19th September.

Hi all, I have a question regarding retirement accounts. I am not sure if I should choose a Roth or 401k (company has 4+2% match). Currently 23, base salary is ~100k and investments have brought 45k this year which has me teetering between a 22-24% tax bracket. Wondering what the usual tax bracket is of people retired (around 65yo) as I’m not sure anything would bring in significant income with the exception of investments. Does anyone regret joining a boutique consulting firm? I signed with a startup out of college (spring 2020) whose founding partners were all partners/Sr leaders at a few T2s. Our firm is super small (dozen FTEs) but does really good work (we charge premium rates and work super cool projects). I’m just having second thoughts as exit opportunities aren’t as prevalent as I thought, the pay/benefits don’t match industry/risk of joint a startup, and I’m not getting the network of a Big4 or MBB
