Does anyone have something unexpected that ended up helping you get interviews or land a job in tech that you would never have prioritized at the beginning of your search? I am curious about the non obvious things that actually make a difference.

I need some advice. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Healthcare Administration with 20 plus years working in different Healthcare roles. I am working as a PBM Claim Specialist. I am looking forward to HR round for Macquarie Gurugram. All rounds went well except for numerical reasoning section in psychometric test. My yoe is exactly 8 years. My current CTC is 16.2 and expecting raise in current company in 2-3 months.

I have completed my B.Tech. on 2020 and got a job in an MNC with a 3.8LPA, but due to COVID, the onboarding was delayed to Feb 2021. During this time, I had enrolled myself for a distance M.Tech. degree.
I recently joined a new company with a 10.1LPA a month back.
Just two weeks back, my M.Tech. degree is completed.
Should I have some increment in my new company as to my M.Tech. completion?

How does contract to hire work? If I’m offered $37/hr on w2 for 3 months and then possibly a permanent position, how much can I expect to get annually as a full time company employee as a BI data analyst II? I have a M.S. and certificates in DA but this will be my first job as DA.

I was a contractor for a big company and they just let me know that my last day is December 30th. I got this position thanks to a recruiting company that has been great and gives me benefits.
Should I:
- Continue working with the recruiting company, hoping that they will find another position for me? (as they told me they will, and when they applied me I started working with my current company within 2 weeks)
