Got two audits out before the holiday break and I feel so free!

I have 2 years of Indian experience as a Data Analyst .I have knowledge of tools like Sql,Tableau,Excel and Python. I have recently moved to Toronto Canada. My dream job is to become a Data Scientist. I am looking for jobs right now as a Data analyst. Do you feel I should take time off from job hunt and work on gaining more skills to apply for Data scientist positions??
Should I enrol myself into a school(if so please suggest) ? OR should I just get a job as a Data Analyst??

Just switched firms, in hopes of greener pastures....and I’m miserable. Not totally sure where to head next, debating some non-traditional means of employment/next steps. I def can spin the story but am I risking my whole career if I say, took less ‘prestigious’ role for the next year? I just need to mentally recover...feels like I’m losing time off my life longevity for $$$. Just looking for others thoughts or real life examples

I have an urgent situation that I need advice for: what job to take? I currently have 2 job offers. Offer A (Scientist 3): 70k with full benefits including 15 PTO days and 5k tuition assistance yearly. It was sent to me last Wednesday and yesterday they left me a voicemail asking for a decision at my earliest convenience. Offer B (Manager): 76k with full benefits minus tuition assistance and only 5 PTO days first year (15 days after). Both companies said they'd groom me to take management roles.

Happy to report: Did not fall into any honey trap at the holiday party.

Considering a move to NTT Data in a healthcare consulting role. Mixed reviews in the bowls. Major concerns are bench policy, staff aug roles, 2 week PTO, and high turnover due to job dissatisfaction. Recruiter and mgr had great things to say around growth and opportunity, which doesn’t align with feedback from the bowls or Glassdoor.
Understanding things have changed there in the last few months, I need un-biased advice from fellow fish who have recently joined or can speak to recent changes

if you receive an offer and give the standard two weeks notice, but the two weeks overlap with some scheduled holiday PTO, what would you do? extend the notice?

What’s the PTO policy at CohnReznick? Also, do they give 4 day weekends for holidays like Memorial Day and 4th of July?

I'm hiring soon for a clinical pharmacist roles to do prior authorizations from home. It's state programs and mainly 9 to 5. What should the compensation be? It'll include 3 weeks vacation and all holidays off btw.

28th Jan(after 2 days) is my joining date in one of the organisation.. meanwhile I get a call from one of captive company for final managerial discussion scheduled for today itself.
I doubt they can release offer in just 2 days if all good, having said that tomorrow is holiday.
Ques- should I tell after 2 days I have to join one of organization. Or can I tell, still I am with current organisation and serving np, probably 60 days left and wait for their offer..

Is it normal to feel numb around the holidays? I'm tired, dealing with seasonal affective disorder and a really tough caseload right now. Hey Peeps, I got an offer from Thoughtworks. I heard that you get some stocks too. But the offer letter does not mention it. HR confirmed it though that there would be a separate communication regarding the same. I have 7.5 YOE and joining as Senior consultant QA. How much stocks value can i expect to get?

My priority date is end of 2013. My husband is only petition - we filed in oct 2020 when my date became current. If he decides to switch his job right now, will there be a lot of additional paperwork/ rework? Is it not recommended?

How do you know what your passion is? I mean I think a lot about golf but i don’t think that’s a passion. It’s my hobby. I think most people just know.

At a tech company with less than 50 people and $6 M Revenue. Our current maternity and paternity leave policy is not good for attracting talent. 12 weeks for mom only 4 weeks paid and no time off for dads. Curious to know what policy other companies have, and can you let me know size and approx rev of company?

So my VP at my previous company felt bad and refused to speak to me or attend my farewell after my resignation. His reason was that I somehow betrayed his trust as he had promoted me just last year (after keeping the position open for 4 months and letting me take additional work load after the previous SM left!). Does this make any sense? I mean where does this sense of entitlement or ownership over the employees come from? No wonder the company in question is kind of facing a literal exodus!
