Keen are great if you’re on your feet all day
1+ for keen. I think my keen safety boots are the Most comfortable shoes I own
You’ll ask 10 different people and get 12 different opinions. So here’s mine, I swear by Red Wing. One of few boots I’ve had that last and I wasn’t searching for something else immediately after using them. Very nice your company pays for them, adds up really fast over the years.
Red wing excellent
Red Wings
Get Red Wing. They are ‘ANSI’ rated and waterproof. Use Silicone spray to keep them clean and wipe off any dirt after use to help make them last and keep the leather from drying and cracking. Verizon paid for all our steeltoe boots both as technicians and Engineers. I swear by the Red Wing guarantee and line of footwear.
Get the composite ones. Awesome...light...comfortable..mine even look like a tennis shoe or hiking shoe...very durable
Have mine 7.5 yrs...still looking good enought for business mtgs too
Red Wings
Redwing, keen, Wolverine
Redwing have always been comfortable and long-lasting for me. A little pricey, but worth it considering their durability.
Steel Blue - most comfortable capped shoe wear, These boots and shoes don't need to be broken in and are more comfortable than most gym shoes.
I have some and they are Rebook. They are the best ones that I have found.
My Doc Marten Tamaracks lasted for over eleven years- I'd buy those again, no questions asked.
Redwing and Keen are great. Redwing is a little more comfortable for me. Doc Marten's are too heavy without enough cushioning.
If you're in them all day - Red wings or equivalent
If you're just going to site every once in awhile and are in the office most of the time - blundstones or equivalent
When I worked at a factory setting, it was always paid for by the company including having the truck come twice a year to work so you could get them there.
I usually went with Doc Martins or Sketchers.
I wear timberland boots, the originals.
Wife wears Dr. Martens originals with steel toe caps
It depends on what you find comfortable because you will be wearing them all day
If they will cover I'd recommend thorough good, I've had red wings and they are nice, but occasionally you'll get a model that kills your feet. I've had wolverines and they were a good short term. But nothing has been as comfortable to work in and be as durable as Thorough Goods boot, and I stand on concrete all day.
Go with composite toe if it's allowed at your worksite. What's more important than brand is the fit, and every different brand has a different shape. If the cap rubs the side of your foot when you try them on, they will never be comfortable. Try on as many different brands and styles as you can find before selecting.
