How much does a support advisor make at shopify?
Received an offer as Engagement Director from Salesforce (CSG, pre sales, L9). Great benefits package, 40% increase in total comp and better WLB.
I do love the people in my practice and current client, but career trajectory has stalled after taking parental leave earlier this year and (yet another) change in leadership.
Realistically, making to Director is 2-3 years away and will require sacrificing time with my family that I am not prepared to give up.
Should I stay or should I go?

I don't use a sharpie. Just Adobe.
If I’m not redacting through a document review software like relativity, I just use adobe (mark for redaction—>apply redaction). I will have a paralegal or associate take a quick look though to double check nothing is missed.
Adobe Acrobat Pro offers substantial redaction options. You can specify key words and phrases and that alone saves a lot of time. I always review the post-redaction documents and typically find few errors.
Adobe search for bulk applies of things you know you want to redact and then do a manual review after to make sure it got everything. Can never trust any tool 100% without QC by attorney eyeballs, but it can speed things up!
In the name of all things 2025, please tell me know one is still redacting with a sharpie and not, at LEAST, adobe??
You mean to redact where you tell it to, or do you want the software to figure out where the redactions should be?
Thank you for the reply. Where I tell it to, but I worry about giving specific names that may be shortened in the docs, or initials, or different versions of the same info being missed. Also, some of the documents are handwritten, like canvassing notes. Control freak much…😆
Kofax Power PDF has a nice redaction feature.
I wouldn't rely on a sharpie. You can see the underlying text if you hold the page up to a light. Same with highting black over black text.
Software is a tool. Use it but check it for accuracy. I can attest from a lot of experience that redaction software doesn't catch everything.
Foxit is a good alternative to Adobe for redactions. It allows admin staff to mark for redactions so you can review it with the context of the unredacted document, then "apply all," creating a new pdf with everything blacked out how you marked it. No meta data to worry about.
Nitro Pro
I use foxit
I rely on my eyeballs + Ctrl F. Usually do this 2x if reasonable.
No sharpie. I once represented a major company that was extremely sensitive about company info. As part of the Panel guidelines, we had to redact with adobe, print the documents with redactions, and then re-scan the document before sending it to opposing counsel. This was the only way to guarantee that the redaction was a true redaction (apparently, some tools can remove Adobe redactions--though I have never seen it).
This just happened with the Epstein files lol
Thank you everyone for your feedback, Adobe Pro turns out a really good fit for this project. No Sharpies have been harmed or sniffed.
