If I take 4 weeks off to travel (I have the PTO), is that frowned upon?

Between projects or in the middle of one? Planning ahead or springing on the bosses for next week?

4-5 months away

Just think of it in terms of the business impacts. They give you the time...its not totally unreasonable that some years you might take at once. Can you predict where you will be and get input from those leads. If not...is there a vacation registry to put in?

What pisses me off is people not giving enough time to mitigate the fact that they are out. The other would be asking for 4 weeks off when they know it'll be critical they are there. Look at it from the other side and make it an easy conversation from whoever you are asking permission from.

No idea where I’ll be project wise, or if I’ll even be at Accenture lol

Nope take it

If you have it and you give your projects enough heads up, take it. Biggest mistake I made earlier in my career was not taking vacation - we need it. And don’t work while you’re out

Anyone hiring those who have been out of work for a year? I took time off to tend to personal matters, but I am now looking to get back into the workforce again. My previous experience includes time at B4 audit up to senior level and then transitioned to manager in industry. Senior/manager roles are preferred.

I don’t mind audit. However, I’d prefer it not to be at a B4, as I am looking for some semblance of a work life balance.

DM me if you have something above, thanks.

Do you work the holidays into your lesson plans this time of year? Or is it too much of a distraction from your routine? Teaching a SPED music class this year and the students have finally *mostly* become comfortable in the room and with the instruments + noise. We usually work on the same songs each week for one month, but I'm thinking of switching it up and doing Christmas/Holiday songs next week as a send off into break. I work with mostly autistic students.
