Question for you all: Left D to Company A for a 50% raise in TC and slated to start in <1 week. However, just got an offer at Company B for a 100% raise in TC compared to D, or 30% raise in TC compared to company A. Both firms do similar work but B provides a more solid comp package. Job duties would be relatively similar. Is the % jump worth burning the bridge? Would have chosen Company B if the offer came sooner but the % difference in A to B is at my [personal] 30% threshold. TIA!

Just got rejected for an opportunity that I spent >4 weeks preparing for, just before reaching the final round. I’ve spoken to so many people about the company and learnt so much about it. I was really looking forward to this role. I was actually very excited. I believed I was good fit too. But I guess it’s only bad luck and 0 skill that backs me. It’s heartbreaking and demotivating. How do I get through the weekend without breaking down??

I need perspective. I was scheduled for a bunch of spa services today before a vacation. Early in the morning, a spa lady calls me to reschedule. I tell her I can’t reschedule due to my job. She replies that she remembers me mentioning that from a previous appointment she “helped me rescue.” She never acknowledged knowing me prior to that comment. I was offended as it came across as judging my stress level and availability based on a service I received years ago. Did I get unreasonably upset?
How does someone ask to be rolled off a project and what are ways to provide feedback to their experience even if it’s negative?

Reviewing resumes and I see more and more frequent that people last one year or less at a job and move on to the next. Is that the new norm? I’m a millennial but my last job I was with for over 4 years. Can I ask in the interview why they’ve moved around so much? Or find a nicer way of asking that. I’m definitely looking for longevity not a hopper.
When you are applying to jobs I noticed HR goes right to the salary talk on round 1. How do you handle this? Evade it/push to later round, throw out your range? Need advice. I don’t want to waste my

Got offered to come on as a full-time employee after working for Guidehouse as a contractor for about 4 months. My position wouldn’t change, but after speaking with the recruiter I have a feeling I’m being low balled. I have over a year and a half of consulting analyst exp prior to contracting, and am currently acting as a team lead on this project. Am I wrong to expect a pay range of 70k-90k? They’re currently offering a little less than 50k
