Not sure where you’re going to work, but it’ll probably be best to wait a year and see how you feel about giving up your weekends.
Go for it, some Friends in consulting are also bartenders the weekend, they are living their best life
I did this in my early 20s. I’ll say this: it won't be easy and you’ll have to compromise a lot of fun time that you previously had for yourself. So be prepared to manage your time wisely.
Just do it, why not. My friend was working at Deloitte full time during the week and was a cook at night on weekends because he wanted to pursue this passion. You could always quit your part time job later on if you find it overwhelming
I've worked 2 jobs before. It's not for the faint of heart, but the money is nice. Especially in times like this.
I do! I do some freelance work for nonprofits etc. Good gig and flexible hours, liking it so far
I have friends that bartend and like it but it’s definitely not for everyone
If you’re in a HCOL area and working at a decently busy bar, I’d expect to walk out with $500+ a night on weekends. Biggest cons are the hours, rude customers, cleanliness (every bodily fluid you can think of plus alcohol spills and trash), and it can be physically taxing
