I’m a 28F who is barely getting into investing. It’s frustrating that it took this long but as a first gen college grad, my parents didn’t know anything about this stuff until very recently, so naturally I was never taught about it. It’s crazy to see people younger than me with all this knowledge on saving and investing. How did you learn so much at such a young age? Any advice for someone like me who is starting out so late in the game?

Honestly, I don't know how anyone is staying in Big 4, even partners. I sense a lot of frustration from field partners at KPMG with the unprecedented turnover we are seeing and constant new initiatives. Wonder how many of them would quit if they didn't have huge loans and weren't tied up for years with the firm to get that huge pension?

Opening up a Roth IRA as I’m paying off the remainder of my student loans at year’s end (yay). Goal is to aggressively max out the $6k after. My FA mentioned that some companies offer an “insertus (sp?) rollover” where you can xfer Roth 401k funds into this Roth acct. after hitting the 6k max (1x per year). Has anyone heard of this that can provide a bit more clarity? I’m very intrigued. Thx!

I have 401k and wealth builder with PwC and I am joining a company which doesn’t have a great 401K as such and i cannot contribute until after 90 days. I have heard of converting to a traditional IRA/Roth IRA , but have no clue how to do it or what is the right way to go about this. Please help me out!! Thanks in advance!! PwC

I think I effed up. I think I've been maxing out my ROTH IRA when I'm over the MAGI. The first year I was over, I think my 401k contributions brought me back under, but I think I really messed up the last couple of years. What can happen? What should I do?

What is the tech scene like in these cities? Appreciate any thoughts/suggestions!
