Does it make sense to pay for expensive things with a credit card if I'm going to be hit with a 4% fee? I've got a chase Sapphire preferred and a friend suggested paying things with the card but I'll be charged 4% on all transactions. All in, it'll be about $20k onto the card.

Question for folks with second homes: Considering buying a vacation home but would be primarily for family use.
