Has anyone asked for a refund for payments made towards student loans during the pandemic and actually received it yet?

Have not received mine yet personally, but know others that have, and have been told mine are actively being processed

Believe it should go back to the account they have on file/that made the original payments - I called to confirm personally

Looking into an advisor to manage my crypto investments (really don't have time for it). Friend works with a guy who is a wall street retiree but now has his own family office and manages friends on the side. Offer: He has access to your accounts and trades as you and every 90 days you give 20% of the profits. Thoughts on this? Worth it or sketchy? Tried it on my own but I don't know enough and stress too much about the volatility. I just want peace of mind and know that my wealth is growing.

In fact, I have not gotten a timeline together yet because I am still determining features required. I am having trouble detecting features required because I do not know customer preferences, and I don’t know customer preferences because I have only industry data. Does PM always few so chaotic?

Has anyone had any experience with debt collectors? I was sent a letter from a company called convergent claiming they are acting on behalf of a creditor (a bank) that I’ve no interaction with. They are saying they’ll accept 50% of the amount due but there’s no mention of what the debt is. I’m assuming this is a scam but wanted to check with fish here. I have no idea how the letter got sent to me as the address is used only for my Amex cards as I don’t live in the US anymore

Context: Married with first baby on the way. Plan is for my spouse to stay home with our (future) kids for next few years. My income is $250-300K and keeping it that way for a while as I’ve moved off partner track for at least 2-3 years as we start our family.

$120K in retirement accounts, $70K in cash, $50K in home equity, and $6K in HSA

Beyond mortgage, only debt is a $25K private loan that we can pay back any time in next 5 yrs. and isn’t accruing interest.

E.g. Rent and utilities is about 26% of take home.
15% goes to debt payments.
Savings about 25%.

I have so much anxiety about money that I can’t even think about it.

Married, 2 kids, dual income.

Home equity: $200k
Gross annual HHI: 234k.
401k: ~60k
Emergency: $12k
Savings: 20k
Debt: One low-interest car payment

We just spent 60k on a lot down payment with the dream of building in a few years.

We don’t budget at all. And we don’t do anything else with our money - like investing in the market.

We just went on in 3.5k family vacation and I feel so guilty about it.
