Hi Fishes, I grabbed an offer at Accenture with 12 LPA fixed for Level 9. I'm not getting a retention offer from my current company at 13.5 lpa. How do I go about a counter offer with Accenture HR? Also tell me how to approach this situation smoothly.
If HR doesn't fulfill the counter offer, is it ok to accept 12 lpa fixed for Level 9 and when will I get a hike here and how much would it be approximately?

That's the point. Hire a domestic student.
As MBA highlights above, people try to stretch the boundaries of STEM to qualify for the designation. But if you are a company looking to hire people with STEM skills, you probably are looking for the hard sciences, or disciplines like math, stats, engineering and CS that equip students with strong technical problem solving skills. US citizens are a small share of enrollment in all those fields, especially at the grad level.
If they can’t get a company to pay the fee then they are not distinguished.
Disagree completely. I believe Firms really like to lock in individuals. Most domestic talent doesn’t see the merit of working in such shitty companies when there are far better opportunities.
Wait i heard international students coming out of US schools are exempted from this 100K?
$100k fee isn’t even applied to every H1B, supposedly.
Some MBAs qualify for STEM OPT which is 3 years of the right to stay in the country if they can find a company that will hire them. Beyond that they would need to sponsor and pay the fee, at least that’s my understanding. The question becomes whether a company would want to go through all that trouble when they could technically not deal with the process via a domestic grad
McK - not true, this was debunked
Will long term start killing the US business schools as an international student the ROI would not make sense unless you come from wealth
I disagree. This door argument is not warranted. Universities are bloated and have outdated structures. Just see how many deans there are (each making 300k+).
Without competition and genuine demand requiring restructuring they can continue being bastions of a bygone era. Instead of focusing on training new American te h workers.
