Does your company ever offer free tickets or perks to local events/attractions?

Yes. Often we're offered tickets to the bulls games during basketball season. It is on a first come first serve basis.

That's cool! Can you bring your partners? Or is it just exclusive to employees?

No, I work for a small nonprofit, so the benefits aside from regular pay are basically nonexistent. What about you?

Yes, they do. They actually don't offer them because you have to do something to get them. Our boss every once in a while will visit the office and will start a little trivia to win free tickets. It's his way of saying "You guys are doing a great job!'.

This will depend on the specific company, as each company may have different policies in place. Many companies in the logistics industry may offer discounts on tickets or other perks to local events or attractions for their employees and customers. It is best to contact the specific company to find out if they offer such benefits.

The company's policies would determine this. Some businesses might have a plan in place to provide free admission or other benefits to nearby events or attractions, while others might not. It is better to inquire directly with the business to determine if it provides any such programs.

Not really. We get 90%, 75%, and 50% tickets on any flight as many as we want. It’s kinda thrilling except I only have 30 days a year of vacation to abuse it.

I have been lucky enough to get free daytime visits to baseball games with food and adult beverages included and free lounge seats at baseball games when available.

We used to get tickets to NFL and MLB games and concerts in the city. But the company no longer offers this to employees.

Yes, it does. Season tickets to the local minor league baseball team. That includes club access with free drinks (even beer and wine) and snacks. We raffle them off all summer in packs of 2 and 4. Some employees into Tuesday games have been able to go 4 to 6 times.

Yes. But most of us have no free time so it's a shame that we cannot even attend some of the events. What about you, OP?

I wish they do. My previous company offered free tickets. It's a little bit different now in my current workplace.

Yes. I am very grateful and lucky. I was even allowed to bring my mom.

Unfortunately, no. What about you, OP?

Anyone going to the Georgia game this year?

Curious as to how many deals at once is typical for a first year associate to take on (M&A, mostly private equity clients). Deal size is lower middle market and I’ve worked on deals ranging from $1-$110M. 2 deals at once is plenty for me, but it seems like my peers are able to take on more than that at once and still do fine. Maybe I’m just a slow learner/out of my league at the big law firm I’m at.

I'm under contract for a new build in progress that won't be done until much later this year. I fully expect interest rates will be higher than what I originally estimated. I may or may not try to lock in a good rate early, but I'm planning on renting it out and this throws a bit if a wrench in my margins. I can take it financially, but wondering, If I absolutely needed to get out of buying it, what recourse do I have? Or could I go ahead, and refinance later (who knows rates at that time...)?
