Does your company have a formal workforce compliance program that oversees policies, training, conflicts of interest, etc.? Wondering if that should sit with our employment lawyer, HR, or somewhere else?

Yes. Is it a public company? If so a compliance program usually sits with Chief Compliance Officer. Can see it in legal or in compliance function.

That should sit with HR with guidance from Legal.

Only if the person who receives it is in the complaint. If so, in my experience, ethics point won't assign it to them anyway.

Yes, large international public co. We have a “separate” compliance team that oversees it and is under “group” legal (with IP, commercial legal, etc).

I’m in big law and on the cusp of making the jump to in-house. It sounds like the company I just interviewed with is getting ready to make me an offer. It’s definitely going to be a pay cut coming from big law but I do get some nice equity in the company. Is the jump worth it? Can anyone help me wrap my head around this post Series C start-up equity offer? It’s an IP director position, the the base is $170 with 10% bonus (both lower than I was expecting). There’s also an equity component: 0.15% of current fully diluted equity. This equates to about 30000 shares at a strike price of $2. They also indicate the preferred stock price is $6 and preferred stock equity is $188k (whatever that means). They are in the middle of a new financing and valuation round.
