I love IXL! Our district has paid for it for the last few years and I think it's made a huge difference especially over covid. It makes practice at home feel more like a game to my kids (I teach 3rd but my kids are in 6th & 9th) and my students love it.
IXL is good, but my 7th graders hate it. they avoid working on it at all costs.
I’ve been using Get More Math for a few years. Lots of positives. I’d recommend looking into it.
It's honestly great but the students hate it.
IXL is my friend. I use it constantly and it makes it easy to add it to the roll book. Add it to your tool box it works.
We have IXL in our District too. I use it sparingly, however, I do like it. The unfortunate part is that some students will click through without looking at the question and certainly won’t look at the reteaching portion below their wrong answer. I have had students “answer” 240 questions and/or work for 2+ hours before they get to the SmartScore of 100. Used properly, IXL is a great tool. You just have to watch for those who will use is improperly.
I really like IXL for math. It goes right along with our grade level standards and includes a "live" component that I have used to monitor when a student is confused. Also nice when students are absent.
Ixl is okay, but that's for HS. I find that it is missing certain types of problems within each section (ie solving a quadratic equation written in vertex form). Reach out to an IXL trip first before you pay, my district was able to get a subscription for free for a few years
