Dont waste your time doing IB and find some other job where you are valued after 5-7 years of experience. I have close to 9 years of experience in IB and I decided to migrate to Canada after that. Now i am facing a common phenomenon in my job applications. Either they say i am over qualified or they say how will I bring Canadian clients. I tried to change course of my career by applying for financial analyst / FP&A role but of no success. IB doesnt teach beyond PPT / Excel. Feel depressed.

I’ve felt that I’ve done well my first month or two and delivered higher quality work, but I feel that lately I’ve been slipping up the past few weeks given the intensity of the deal as well as having multiple peripheral work streams.
