Dont waste your time doing IB and find some other job where you are valued after 5-7 years of experience. I have close to 9 years of experience in IB and I decided to migrate to Canada after that. Now i am facing a common phenomenon in my job applications. Either they say i am over qualified or they say how will I bring Canadian clients. I tried to change course of my career by applying for financial analyst / FP&A role but of no success. IB doesnt teach beyond PPT / Excel. Feel depressed.

After 6 years as a community manager I feel exhausted. I've noticed my ideas are not innovative anymore. I'm tired of replying to the same inquiries over and over again. I even stopped using social media during my spare time because I can't handle it anymore.

I’m four months into my job and I got put onto a PIP. I worked so hard to break into IB, put up all the hours and even working 2am nights for weeks, learned a ton, and improved a lot along the way as the sole analyst yet this happens.
