Hi fishes, My interview with Microsoft for SE2 was scheduled and cancelled a day before. Neither I received any email regarding cancellation nor the recruiter informed me. Two days later I got an email saying Microsoft is freezing hiring for certain departments and the recruiter is ghosting me. Will I even get a chance to interview atleast?

I highly suggest duff. I have several friends that work there and they’ve been there a long time because they love it there. The comp should mainly be the same and I know duff has been paying out a lot of bonuses and other perks as well. My friend at fti quit after a year because she didn’t like it but that’s the only experience I have heard on fti
Agreed. Switched to duff as a senior and received a 30% salary bump and got out of the pigeonhole that is audit
I would make sure you know what it’s going to be like working for a public company (FTI) or a highly leveraged business that’s been acquisitive and that has been owned by multiple PE firms, the latest of which will be looking to exit at some point (Duff). Those are the key factors I would consider when looking at alternatives - very different environment than B4.
Yes
I'd go with FTI. Transactions services is growing fast and I think pay might be better than Duff.
FTI is pretty siloed and you will mainly interact with other transactions people. Very supportive culture and no jerks in my experience. Smart people.

FTI is a respectable boutique for certain practices. Specifically in forensic and restructuring. If you’re going into one of those groups I’d suggest going FTI.
This would be for Corp fin - transaction services
