AWS cloud application architect. Had an on-site interview with AWS a few days ago and just got an email saying they want to talk to me about next steps. The role is cloud application architect but I want to ask them about the senior cloud application architect role. I have all the relevant experience for that role and feel like I’d be a better fit for that senior role. How should I approach this conversation? Is this even possible? Amazon

I would say given that your team is lean, your job would be everything. From admin set up in the beginning all the way through creating initial databook, leading diligence meetings, updating analyses and finalizing the work through delivery.
When you have more members on your team (junior members) then as a manager you can step away from the nitty gritty and focus on the key analyses and running the overall project.
Absolutely - most firms are structured to have a manager/experienced associates plus someone below them. This is the best case scenario given that if you’re doing everything, it’s hard to understand deal issues while in the minutia of the details
