I’m currently working at a Series B startup and my end goal has always been to found my own startup, but I graduated from college 2.5 years ago and I still have not had any great ideas cross my mind. I am currently in Wipro having CTC as 7.8 LPA.. I have got an offer from TCS which is 11LPA.However, my Basic Pay/Fixed compensation is getting reduced from my current base pay in the new offer and also the HRA is getting reduced. The HR is telling that the basic is fixed as per policy and they cannot change it. The base pay is less but there are several other components which are higher. Should I take up the new offer? Please help. Will the reduction in base pay impact my career?

How do I be a decent manager to a coworker who's upset I've been promoted twice in two years and they haven't? We started out as coworkers, became decent friends after a few good moments, but went back to simply coworkers after they flubbed a few projects and I had to step in to clean up. I'm non-confrontational but year-end reviews are right around the corner and I'm worried about having to act professional to someone who I got too close with and who now hates me.
