Has anyone experienced difficulties with speech/thinking through taking anti-depressants or from suffering with long term depression? I first started noticing difficulties in articulating my thoughts at university and my career in consulting has only made this more prominent. Received an offer for equity research and IB, both in toronto. ER paying $120k base and my understanding is that bonus can be around 25-30%. IB is paying $105k base but likely higher bonus? Which one would u choose if you think you would be good at both

I’ve accepted an offer from a firm. Had to revise my joining date and the HR sent an email confirmation for the revised doj. I received an onboarding portal link from another HR, on their portal it’s mentioned my joining is in January which is even earlier than the joining date I received before on my OL which I got revised later on. The HR isn’t even reachable, they don’t reply to mails or pick calls. Don’t know what to do.

It's sad to see people with 2-3 years of experience getting paid more than you when u have double the experience. 😄 Best part is they are still complaining of getting less. Well I guess you should never settle. New gen is giving a hard time to the experienced folks. I think this is the high time to upgrade your skills. Come out of your comfort zone and start looking for new opportunities. I think this is the best time to switch if u haven't already in quite some time.

Moved from agency after 6yrs, into a startup (€8m Series A, high growth); first marketing hire. My manager is ex VC, seems to like managing by fear, let’s fire X, let’s cut the agency etc. sets tight deadlines & adds urgent items last minute. Others seem to feel I’m doing great but I am butting heads with him constantly about unrealistic workloads etc. Really not enjoying interacting with him, thinking about leaving... should I stick it out? I feel like I’m being abused, but need money!

Genuinely curious. Does the week after follow-up email actually matter? Not the post interview thank you, but the "hey, just checking in" type.
