Isn’t that every firm? They are all about money
Agree same situation. Asked to resign after giving a solid 3 years at a firm for absolutely no reason and it was a complete blessing in disguise. The firm was an absolute dumpster fire and I feel bad for the people still working there. The partners don’t care about them and won’t protect them when it comes down to it. They are in it for themselves and that’s it.
Think this is highly location dependent. I work at CLA and this has not been my experience. I have complaints/wish certain things were different, but they don’t lay off and don’t fire with no cause. Although, they are still growing, so who knows what would happen in an actual downturn. Again, just my experience. I live in a blue state though, so we might have stronger protections- not sure about that part.
I’ve seen this happen to more than 5 people over 3 years here. It’s more common than you think. The people who randomly “quit” did not quit.
sounds like a certain firm i worked for before. not to name names, but it was KSDT 🤷
