Every month, my apartment charges me $56 for common space electric, $59 for sewer, and $42 for sewer capacity. Plus other overhead fees, this is $300 on the top of rent. Is this normal in Seattle/Bellevue?

Those are called Utilities

funny

Exactly!! I’m missing Chicago so much now🥲

There's no budging on sewer capacity so that rate is ok. In my current building, water/sewer/trash is double what it was in my 4 previous Seattle apartments. And in the last 3 years they've added the common space electricity and anything else they can think of including $25/month for their website.

but are you eating big meals?

yeah just screwing around 💩 use what you pay for!

If you live in an older style building built before they separately metered the apartments and have one trash fee that is split pro rata between apts/occupancy then yes.

The water charges are all high because of all the mitigation and protection the water treatment plants do to make the discharge safe for the salmon run streams. All of Seattle is salmon country, gotta try to keep it pristine.

Hi Fishes,

I have been selected at KPMG India, KPMG Global & Northern Trust - for Credit Risk domain.

I need to choose amongst them. I need to understand, given 1year & 8 month of work experience

- how much KPMG India/Global offers to professionals like me ?

- how is the work pressure & work life balance ?

- Any suggestions which to chose from these 3 ?

They yet to make an offer. Please reply if you can give some suggestions or answer some of my questions.

And any other tips on breaking into full time editorial.

600sqft 1 bedroom in kips bay, $1800 (walk-up, no laundry in building, no doorman) for year lease

Would be moving from 6th floor walk up $1400 month to month in prime LES with two roommates(not my best friends but nice).

Would you move?

Considering:
1. costs to make the move itself
2. I like to run so options downtown seem better but not familiar with kips Bay Area
3. Commuting anywhere
4. Restaurants
5. I’m 23

I know it’s not technically a meme. But it is a free drink for whichever 🐠 gets to it first. Which I think has the spirit of a meme, if not the form. Happy flyday

Hello everyone. I will be transitioning from the Navy soon and want to work in the cybersecurity field. I have an active secret clearance, BS in strategic intelligence, working on a masters in cybersecurity, and taking Security+ in December. No work experience in cyber, just my education and bootcamp course for Security+. Should I still apply for job that want 2-5+ years cyber experience and/or an active TS clearance?

What are some easy to make, low stress holiday meals for a school holiday staff party? I was "volunteered" by our principal to set it up this year (🙄). I'm making decorated sugar cookies but kind of drawing a blank when it comes to savory dishes. Bonus points if you have any adult holiday themed games or fun drinks to suggest! It's off school property and there will be a bar (thank god), for context.
