Lmao do not come here
Yea if you do come here OP you likely will not get a raise for 1-3 years unless you miraculously get a promo (over the backlog of current employees) since you'll likely be at the top of your pay band.
Given it is a big pay bump from your current role you'll likely still be ahead of you stay, but the vibes are atrocious at accenture right now. No one has faith in our CEO. We don't have an enterprise strategy. Our stock is in a free fall. Out culture has completely eroded.
I agree that you should use it as a stop. I've seen experience hires climb the ladder but it's only gotten harder. I've been here for almost ten years and looking to exit (to industry).
Seems there’s a lot of horse trading going on.
Which is fine. I don’t know what 50K is as a % of your current salary. Typically you shouldn’t leave for less than ~20% increase.
However… keep in mind. The last ~3 years the majority of us have not received any comp increase (outside of promos - and many of those were pushed multiple years)
So whatever you come in at, you should feel ‘ok’ knowing it will most likely be your salary for the next 2+ years.
There’s also a huge backlog of SM->MD promotes.
FWIW - I am an SM and looking outside. I was mid pay as an M. My promo bump put me within ~1% of my peers at M - meaning I am an SM effectively making M salary. Many of my peers at M are still at M making what I make now… (I had been put up for promo 2+ years and finally got it… during those 2 years I had 0 pay increases. My promo bump was ~13%)
So for me, I am looking outside ACN. But again this is circumstantial. Your setup with ACN could be good for your specific circumstances.

While yes fishbowl is full of complainers the salary and promo issues are consistent across Accenture right now. It isn’t just the complainers affected, it’s everyone. Which pay is really the main factor for working in the first place.
Don’t come here. You would be nuts to join. The chairman of the board thinks the CEO is doing a great job…
The Chair is the CEO
No sales targets at L6, depending on group and location is salary. What group and loco, tiers of col determine salary
No formal sales, but depending on the group / practice you join, you’ll be competing with your peers during the twice a year performance cycle so you’ll need to sell to be competitive. Tech, anything above $3M in sales would be decent but you won’t be top. Strat / consulting may be less as revenue is smaller but profit is higher. Top of the groups for my area are doing $7M+ per annum at CL6.
Pay depends on group / location. For me in a tier 1 in tech I’m on $230k base. I always get the RSU grants at $18k per annum that vests in thirds every year. Bonus has historically been ~$50k every year. I’m usually around the $300k all in club. Last cycle was my best at $315k all-in. Good luck with your interviews!
Wow Ok I’m L6 and nowhere near these numbers even with all the talent accolades so I think it’s very dependent on which group. No stay at level increases and huge backlog for promotions, most of us have made less year over year for 4+ years
After being at PwC and EY, I am shocked at how bad the internal tools and systems are. And we know this area has the least investment at any consulting firm, but it’s a magnitude worse at ACN.
I am amazed they can figure out how to pay us every pay period since there are limited integrations and a lot of manual data entry. I have never seen a total rewards team as incompetent.
So when you go out to a client, don’t expect the support you have from internal teams that you currently have.
And yes, no raise at all in 4 years. I effectively make less than when I was hired.
What is nice, no independence. Makes sales and personal matters so much easier.
The entire talent process is broken from hire to retire, or in our case, until lay off
No sales target but it is a factor for promo as there’s a lot of backlog. Pay: $200k - $250k base depending on practice.
