I don’t think so. You have to be at a specific terminal and hang out at the airport. Used it three times since they opened
All depends on how early you can get to the airport and be able to sit, eat, and lounge before your flight. Food is definitely better than other lounges. I’ve had a good meal at LGA before getting on my evening flight back home.
Fine hotels and resorts concierge is totally worth the fee. Easily. They always have awesome deals and perks to places like Vegas, cun, Cabo, Miami. If that is important to you
Once I stayed at the Wynn for 3 nights for just tax plus received 10am check in, 6pm check out, full breakfast each day, a resort credit of $50, a cabana at the pool, and a welcome amenity (a collection of high end snacks). That was the best I’ve seen. Normally you get a rate of around $200/ night for a fancy hotel and early check in/late check out, room upgrades, breakfast, 3rd or 4th night free, and a welcome amenity. Plus you get 5x or 10x mr points on the whole stay. Even if you use it once a year, it’s really worth it. Now that our kids are out of the house, we are using it almost monthly and it’s amazing. Especially if you have flexibility when/where you travel.
Not at DFW. It’s in terminal D, so unless you’re traveling internationally, it’s not convenient. And if you’re traveling intl you should be in business class anyway, which gives you access to the better lounges. You’re much better off with your preferred airlines’ club imo. I had Platinum for years and could count on one hand the times I used a Centurion club despite tons of time spent in airports.
It might be if you are vested with Delta
For me I’m in Atlanta and only a Plat. So the sky club Monday morning and Amex Cent on Thursday makes sense for me 😀
I’ve had a platinum card for a year and never been able to use one
I got a gold card instead because I’m remote now.
I have had a plat card for longer than they’ve had lounges, and since there is one in my home airport (PHL) and one at DFW where I have a bunch of clients and often connect, I am able to use them. It also gets you into Eurostar lounges when not in business class and they have some other airport lounges, such as at MEX, SYD etc
There are a good number of other benefits with the Plat card though - those will likely be the deciding factor if the lounges are of use.
