About to be a new dad. Starting to look into childcare but feeling a little overwhelmed. Would love to hear thoughts/opinions on what to look for besides convenience.

I know the general answer to this, but I want to know others response.
If by your 30’s you’re mostly established in life, why is it then harder to establish a long lasting relationship with someone ?

This question may not be related. However I wanted to know from personal and family point of view how it is like to relocate from India and live abroad .
Let's say Family consists of husband , wife and a kid . I understand we will get good facilities, education, cleanliness , good air etc , however I wanted to check whether people gel up easily in the new environment? Don't they feel loneliness/ difficult to adjust? Do they look for similar asian nationalities to kill boredom?

Any 40+ women here interested to make new friends? 40+ man here.

I've been so lucky to have tons of friends giving me hand me downs but it seems like it might be too much if I accept everything. What are the absolute necessaries that I should accept multiples of and what can I pass on?

How does a person change their mindset to be more positive? I feel like I’m meant for my job, but blame all my life problems on it….having no energy, being single at the age of 30, etc. and it seems like a never ending loop. I look for new jobs, realize I have a good job then am ok for a bit then start it all over again. When I’m off of work I’m fine and realize I have it pretty good. Only real negative is I can’t vacation with my family in March due to my busy time.

In a serious relationship for the first time since starting with the firm. Advice on how to balance career and personal life? I promote to manager this fall and want to succeed in both realms

Desi folks! Why do you let your parents manage your profile on the websites? It’s so uncomfortable when you get a call at 4 am saying “beta, we like your profile.” 🤷🏽‍♂️

Comforting others:
When someone tells me bad news regarding their health, I say everything I am supposed to say (I’m sorry to hear that, I’m here for you, etc) EXCEPT “everything is going to be ok”. Because I can’t guarantee that and I really don’t know if everything is going to be ok. I was taken aback recently when a friend told me I am calloused and cold-hearted for not being able to say those words. Is she right? Should I start saying this for the purposes of providing comfort only??

Any tips for hard launching partners on social media? For context, I’ve (Indian American female) been dating my white American boyfriend for 3 years and we just got engaged after two years of convincing my parents. What to do for a spouse who is struggling emotionally but refuses to get professional help?
I’m 17 weeks pregnant with our first. My husband is really struggling with emotional/ mental health. I’ve asked him to consider counseling or other medical alternatives. Doctor says I have it, but I honestly don’t believe them. I don’t eat cane sugar (not even in sauces), gluten, dairy, or soy. So not surprised I couldn’t process their drink-I don’t consume stuff like that regularly. I walk a mile or do HIIT training 5x/ week. The condition doesn’t run in my family (and my mom has 4 sisters w/kids-good sample size) (cont’d in comments)

Hi Parents, need recommendation for taking care of kids hair. My kids are mixed race and their hair gets easily tangled to the point where we spend an hour to untangle the mess. Hair is also dry and the conditioner and or oil doesn’t seem to help. What are some of your go to products and routine? TIA
