Do they do case for experienced consultants?
Yes
I remember getting an email a few days ahead that provided a lot of details on what to expect during the interview. Ask your recruiter if you haven’t received this yet.
Yes you do a 30 min case - classic case but usually easier than Mck cases. Be ready to bucket. The other two were rather friendly, conversational interviews with SMs and an MD
Like group in a structured manner. Sorry, that may just be a company term
The format is three different types of interviews: focus, case, and core consulting attributes (CCA).
1. Focus: this is assessing your domain knowledge for your niche. Format is pretty open for the interviewer to choose. They get a list of quiz-style questions they can ask, but they are not required to use them. If you were asked quiz-style questions on your technical screen / phone interview, this is actually the same list of questions, but there are too many of them to ask them all, so it may be different questions this time. Some interviewers skip the questions and just dive into your experience and drill down on your skills/knowledge.
2. Case: This is a typical case interview, but if you are in a technical area, it will be a project situation in the offering you are interviewing for—so it might be a data analytics case if that is your niche, or a cloud case if you are cloud, etc. The questions they ask are tailored to what you would be expected to know at your level.
3. CCA: The Principal/MD usually does this one, and it is a behavioral format, e.g., tell me about a time when you did X. They look for stories showing evidence of specific attributes. Example categories / attributes might be communication skills, self-starter, teamwork, or work ethic. Again, there are too many questions to ask them all, so the interviewer will choose which ones they want to ask.
