Finally got a chance to go wine tasting in France (albeit the Languedoc region and not Bordeaux or other popular regions). Hot darn it's an overlooked area that was so fun. Some of the tastings were with the owners that you could see were so passionate about their wine being poured.

5 years post-MBA and all my classmates are VPs in industry or Principals in consulting/IB (some are even Partners/MDs already). I am a backend Java engineer, and have solely used Java since I've started my software engineering career about 2 years ago. I keep getting sour wines. I’ve never had this issue before but the last few bottles I got (store shelf, nothing too fancy) tasted like they were opened and left out. That gross stale sort of sour taste… but the cork was in tight and sealed. 🧐
