Finally got a chance to go wine tasting in France (albeit the Languedoc region and not Bordeaux or other popular regions). Hot darn it's an overlooked area that was so fun. Some of the tastings were with the owners that you could see were so passionate about their wine being poured.

Just wanted to share if anyone finds themselves in Barcelona with a car and an extra day or two.

What producers did you visit?

We couldn't go to as many as we used to with two kids now in tow but squeezed in three:

1) Domaine Haut Lirou
2) Valmagne Sainte-Maria's Abbey
3) Domaine de la Vielle

Thanks for sharing!

I would love to do Rousillion and sample VDNs

I’ll never have that kind of earning potential because I didn’t come from the “right background” pre-MBA.

I am looking for wine decanter tags that are writable. I’d like to find a vintage looking silver option, but they all require engraving. I’m looking for something writable that I can change the label on when I host wine parties and I have a couple decanters on the table. Anyone have something similar and can share a link with me? I’m struggling to find anything that will work, other than writing on clear tape with a sharpie marker 😐

Big fan of this one. Not super bold. More velvety. Subtle leathery taste, hints of vanilla! I picked up a half case for 120, or $20 a bottle! I may actually buy more. 8/10 for price and taste. Very elegant.

I keep getting sour wines. I’ve never had this issue before but the last few bottles I got (store shelf, nothing too fancy) tasted like they were opened and left out. That gross stale sort of sour taste… but the cork was in tight and sealed. 🧐
