What are you doing that isn't IB/PE that pays that much?
Think private debt/credit — something along those lines
Wow
Jump in 2018.2019 is crazy. How Is it really possible to have such big jumps in the same company ? Please share your negotiating tips and strategies.
Accelerated promotion timeline (I was able to get promoted within 2 years vs the standard 3 year timeline) and bonuses in a non-cyclical vertical of of finance with an increased bonus at each level. It’s not IB money but it’s great given the amount of hours worked.
Wow
2024 $550,000
2025 $700,000
Trolling the kids lmao
Not sure why you think I’m trolling but all jokes aside I don’t expect $550K in 2024 or anything close to that. There is so much money to be made in finance outside of just IB and PE or what most people consider to be “prestigious” roles. I’ll leave it at that.
Wow - whats your age and location?
i am 34 years old and i live in Sierra Leone in the west part of Africa

Thanks for sharing! Out of curiosity how much of your salary is from bonuses?
It has varied over the years but last year my bonus was 100% of base, 2022 was around 75%. In earlier years the % was lower.
What industry?
Are you hiring 😭
Congrats! What kind of role are you doing?
Client-facing role in finance that is not IB or PE. Don’t want to be too specific.
What did you move into in 2018 where you're getting a 30% raise every year for 5 years straight? That's like promotion level raise every time...

I’m sensing 🧢
Sure. Whatever helps you feel better.
Can you be my mentor😂
