AA delayed a flight 7 hours on Saturday before cancelling it and giving us no help, monetary or otherwise, in finding lodging. Rebooked Sunday for a very early flight, got home 24 hours late.

I feel left out in my firm. How do I make 'friends' with my colleagues? I've been here for a year. I am naturally not a very out going person, was never 'cool' and I struggle to speak in group situations / make engaging conversation with higher ups. I’m currently in the process of being converted from contractor to permanent. In my initial conversations I was under the impression that I was in a different pay grade and asked for a salary 25k higher than the max allotted for my position.
