Folks, What happens to your pension in L&G when you leave the UK? What can be done with it?? Is it transferrable to different country??

What do most people invest in for their Roth IRA portfolio? I’ve heard target funds and ETF’s..which one is better?

Does your job offer a pension? Care to share? I’m wondering if ours is competitive and also wondering whether to stay or leave for greener pastures?
Population: around 35K; 5 years to vest; retirement age 65; pension calc based on average of last 5 years’ salary times years in service times multiplier; multiplier is 1.25%. TIA!

For any of you real estate investors, what tools or sources did you learn from when getting started. Can’t find a mentor currently so want to find some highly recommended books or videos. If focused on the tri-state area (NY, NJ, Long Island mainly) that would be even better. My hope is to buy and rent out a apartment while also owning a house and house hacking that by renting part of it out. I’m a former forensic scientist that left the field several years ago. I recently received a subpoena from a case I worked and suggested to DA to have evidence re-worked by the lab or stipulation. If I am required to testify (as an expert witness), I would need to book a flight, hotel, etc. My question is this: can I ask for my requested hourly rate, travel, and hotel to be covered when speaking with DA or is that “not how this works” as the investigator put it?
