Hi all,
I have a offer from Perficient and joining in 2 months time. Question :
1: how is the company in terms of job security and projects? I work with web analytics
2: How is the hike and work life balance.
3: Attrition rate
4: Hike is good but will it be a safer vet like Accenture Operations?
Need some views from people working there.
Thanks in advance.

this about to be a can of worms 🍿
CWs do more work at the front end. ADs do more work at the back end.
Largely I would say ADs do more time-consuming work.
Yep.
Usually long-standing teams who jump shops together get paid the same amount when hired as a pre-existing team.
Those hired solo and made into a team each earn what they individually negotiated for at the time when each person was hired.

I mean come on it’s just words on paper I can hit the g key as well as anyone
Give and take. Depends on the deliverables and timeline. Writers who are very familiar with design programs and they can pitch in when they need to. art directors who can write is also a blessing. win as a team, lose as a team.
As a writer, I do a lot of the organization and admin type stuff in the duo. Booking meetings, setting up decks, taking notes and organizing them. The writer often does a lot of the upfront storytelling in a deck too, and that takes time.
Also, when it comes to execution we're writing dozens of versions of social copy for every 1 image or video. It mostly balances out although on the odd day my AD is still working and I'm done, I'm getting the snacks.
Same!

The dynamic depends on the team individuals. No two teams are alike. I’ve had many creative partners over the years and no two partnerships have been the same.
ADs and writers usually get paid very similarly. But as someone above said, it depends whether they were hired separately or together.
I have never once heard of a copywriter doing AD work.

So if I’ve worked as a writer and as an AD, am I an AD who writes, or a writer who art directs?
I’ve written lines that have made into the final piece, but I’ve never seen a copywriters design make it
@ad1 Unless the CW was an AD before.
