I just use it for rice, usually about once a week. But seeing this reminded me that it came with a basket to steam vegetables, and I have no idea what ever happened to that. It must be in the pantry somewhere. I should dig it out and give it a try.

Hahaha let us know if you ever find it. I never thought of steaming vegetables in a rice cooker
I've never tried to use it for anything except rice. What I do with it in between rice dishes is to put in under the counter with my pots and pans, crock pot, and cookie sheets. My wife is Cajun, so it doesn't stay out of sight for very long at a time. Between jambalaya, etouffe, gumbo, red beans and rice, and just plain rice and gravy, the rice cooker gets a good workout.

Yeah that’s what I’m deciding to do now. Just put in the extra 5 seconds of effort to put it in a cabinet haha
Honestly I have never used it for anything but rice and didn't even really realize you coulld use it for anything else. I would love to know though because I don't use it often and it does take up a lot of space.
I found some ideas...
