For reference I have 3 years of experience and have been offered a 10% base increase as a part of my promotion (current salary is 120k). I'm having trouble. I have a client who is going from a climbing company, to a fitness company. They have a product that lets them expand from where they are. I am failing to sell them on the importance of strategy and taking a step back. Honestly, I don't even know that I'm sold on it. But I feel like it's important. One thing they don't prepare you for when you're getting into advertising is the extent to which being a cheerleader propels you. I'm not a misanthrope, but I'm definitely not naturally wired for cheerleading and it for sure has had an adverse impact on my career.
