Can H1B visa holders own rental property? If so, can you self manage or do you have to get a property manager? (House would be bought through personal loan, not an LLC, so wondering whether USCIS could deem self managing as unauthorized employment? How would they find out?)

My firm has applied for my L1A visa. If that gets denied, my plan is to travel to Canada and re enter US immediately on B1/B2 visa (already have valid B1/B2 stamp) so that I'll get time to figure out things here in the US (sell my stuff, handle my bank accts etc). Is it possible for me to reenter US on tourist visa?

Got news that my house closing may have to be moved due to a delay in the sale of my home. My partner’s income was excluded in the DI ratio, but if it were included we’d be well under the % threshold and can be approved to close on time regardless of the sale of my house.
