For decades I have worked in a predominantly all female community. My last employer was a struggle. I gave them 3 decades in my career and just when I was in my last decade until retirement they used covid as an excuse to eliminate my position and stop making ADA accommodations. Now I am struggling to gain employment. Searching for three yrs.
I guess being in a business that teaches young people to be and grow into wonderful humans stops at the faculty level.

Have any respiratory therapists found jobs OTHER than being a clinical RT? I want to possibly change careers, but I am finding that a lot of jobs (clinical liason, utilization review, etc) want you to have a nursing degree, not a respiratory degree. I feel like as an RT we are limited to jobs.

I’m about to give my notice at a firm I’ve been at for the majority of my legal career. They’ve recently offered me non-equity partnership (which I’ve accepted), w equity partnership on the horizon. However, I’ve been annoyed with their way of running the business and getting between me and my earnings far too long; and I received a lucrative offer to go in-house. I’m not looking forward to their reaction and feel bad about them having to take over my docket when everyone’s very busy. Any tips?
